SUPPORT & GUIDANCE FOR YOUNG FAMILIES IN OURAY AND SAN MIGUEL COUNTIES
The Family Wellness Program of the San Juans aims to support young families in our region where cost of living is high and so is the desire to do it right. We provide wholesome, local food, breastfeeding education and support, and wellness offerings to help meet the unique needs of each family.

Our Mission
By partnering with local food producers and health and wellness experts, we not only support the physical, mental and emotional growth and health of our young families, but also the health and strength of our local economy, food shed, and parenting community. We aim to provide support and opportunities during these foundational years that will pay long-term dividends through the development of high functioning families with high standards for health in the families we serve.

OFFERING SUPPORT FOR PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH
It’s not just the food we eat, but the way we operate as a family that grows healthy, happy kids. We offer guidance and resources to help meet these needs physically, mentally and emotionally.
The San Miguel and Ouray County Public Health agencies graciously support the work of this program with their Nutrition Educators, CLC’s, Nursing Services, WIC Program and office spaces. They are the umbrella under which this program operates.
